Land worth
protecting
down to the
last dollar.
Expert oil, gas, and energy consulting spanning land, title, acquisitions, and financial oversight — coast to coast, basin to basin.
Named for a pass.
Built on principle.
Last Dollar Land Co. takes its name from Last Dollar Pass — a rugged stretch of the San Juan Mountains above Telluride, Colorado, where the land speaks for itself.
"Land is worth protecting and investing in down to the last dollar — whether for owning, ranching, drilling, mining, or investing. That's a uniquely American idea, and we celebrate it."
That conviction drives everything we do. We believe land — its ownership, its title, its value, and its stewardship — is the bedrock of the American energy economy. Our clients trust us to treat their interests with the same resolve.
Founded by Chris and Lauren Noonan, Last Dollar Land Co. brings together 20+ years of complementary expertise: deep land management, title, and entitlement knowledge alongside rigorous financial and accounting discipline. Together, we bridge the gap between what operators report and what owners should reasonably expect.
We work independently across all major producing basins — Permian, Barnett, Marcellus, Bakken, Haynesville, Uinta, DJ, and beyond — serving operators, E&P companies, private equity, mineral owners, and landowners who want a trusted partner in their corner.
Our Services
From title to transaction, we handle the full lifecycle of land and energy consulting — with two decades of field-proven expertise across all major U.S. basins.
Land Acquisition & Divestiture
Strategic guidance through the full buy-sell cycle — from prospect identification and negotiation to closing. We protect your position and maximize asset value on every transaction, backed by experience spanning wellsite leases to portfolio-level divestitures.
Title & Curative Work
Thorough examination of mineral, surface, and leasehold title — identification of defects and the curative expertise to resolve them. We ensure your chain of title is clean before it becomes a liability, with hands-on experience across all major producing basins.
Lease Negotiation
Experienced representation at the negotiating table — whether acquiring acreage, managing surface use agreements, ROWs, or easements. We know what fair terms look like and how to achieve them, including with private owners, institutional landowners, municipalities, and tribal nations.
Financial Modeling & Accounting
Royalty revenue review, joint interest billing oversight, acquisition accounting, variance analysis, and cash flow reporting built for the energy sector. We translate complex operational data into clear financial insight that protects asset value for operators and investors alike.
Due Diligence
Comprehensive pre-transaction review covering land, title, leases, and financial records. Our dual land-and-finance background means nothing slips through the cracks — giving you the confidence to close, or the clarity to walk away.
Operator-Side Insight
We've sat on the operator side of the table. We know how revenue is calculated, how JIBs are billed, and where errors — intentional or not — tend to hide.
Land & Title Depth
From Powder River to Marcellus to Uinta, our land and curative experience spans major producing basins with direct involvement in 2,500+ oil & gas asset developments.
Transaction Credibility
Core deal team experience on $1B+ in institutional capital formation — including acquisitions, divestitures, project financings, and strategic capital raises.
Independent & Fiduciary
We operate with a fiduciary mindset focused on asset preservation, revenue accuracy, and long-term value — not fund management fees or bank margins.
Boutique Responsiveness
As a founder-led firm, you work directly with Chris and Lauren — not junior staff. Every engagement receives senior-level attention from day one through delivery.
Cost-Effective Structure
Transparent, owner-aligned fees designed to be materially more cost-effective than traditional bank or trust-based managers — with deeper expertise included.
Meet the Team
A partnership built on complementary expertise — land knowledge that runs deep, and financial discipline that keeps every deal sound.

She currently oversees accounting and financial reporting for Marcellus Shale assets producing approximately 2.6 Bcf of natural gas per month.
Lauren holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver with coursework in Energy Management, and a BA in Economics from CU Boulder. Her technical expertise spans SAP, PRA, Quorum, Enertia, Workiva, and advanced Excel — giving her the systems fluency to work directly within operator reporting environments.
